Tour Itinerary 

Day 1 : Arrive Varanasi

 Arrive Varanasi railway station. On arrival, you will be met, assisted and transferred to the hotel in a private vehicle. Varanasi, or Benaras, (also known as Kashi) is one of the oldest living cities in the world. Varanasi`s Prominence in Hindu mythology is virtually unrevealed. Mark Twain, the English author and literature, who was enthralled by the legend and sanctity of Benaras, once wrote : “Benaras is older than history, older than tradition, older even than legend and looks twice as old as all of them put together.” The land of Varanasi (Kashi) has been the ultimate pilgrimage spot for Hindus for ages. Hindus believe that one who is graced to die on the land of Varanasi would attain salvation and freedom from the cycle of birth and re-birth. In the evening, be a part of the aarti ceremony at the Dashashwamedh ghats.

Return to your hotel after the ceremony.

Day 2 : In Varanasi

 Wake-up early this morning and experience a boat ride on the Ganges. This is perfect for seeing the majestic sunrise and the rituals performed every morning along the ghats.

Return to your hotel after the ride. Breakfast will be served at the hotel.

After breakfast, spend a full day in Varanasi and visit some major highlights of the city. You would be visiting Banaras Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Banaras Hindu University, Bharat Mata Temple, Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple and Shree Kal Bhairav Temple.

After the visits, you may choose to relax in the comforts of the hotel or walk amidst the colorful markets of the city.

Kashi Vishwanath Temple is one of the most famous temple in Varanasi, also known as the Golden temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. It was constructed in the year 1780 by the Maratha monarch, Maharani Ahilyabai Holkar of Indore.

 Banaras Hindu University is an internationally reputed temple of learning, situated in the holy city of Varanasi. This creative and innovative university was founded by the great nationalist leader, Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya, in 1916 with the cooperation of great personalities like Dr. Annie Besant, who perceived it as the University of India  It was Mahamana’s vision that this center of life and light, would produce students who would not only be intellectually equal to the best of their fellow students in other parts of the world, but will also live a noble life, love their country and be loyal to the Supreme Ruler.

The Bharat Mata Temple is located at the Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth campus, Varanasi and dedicated to the Bharat Mata (Mother India). It was constructed by the Babu Shiv Prasad Gupt and inaugurated by Mahatma Gandhi in 1936. The statue of the Mother India is made up of the marble and looks like a model which symbolizes the entire India, represents mountain, plains and oceans of the India. The Bharat Mata temple does not have a traditional statue of Gods or Goddess but it has a real map of Mother India.

Day 3 : Departure from Varanasi

 Breakfast will be served at the hotel.

Check out from the hotel and drive to visit Sarnath (10 Kms/30 min approx. one way). You would be visiting the Dhamekh stupa complex. It is the place where Buddha delivered his first sermon. Therein is also located the Ashoka Pillar. The Thai temple and monastery, Chaukhandi Stupa, the Garden of Spiritual Wisdom and Mulagandha Kuti Vihar are other visitworthy sites in Sarnath.

After your visits, you would be transferred to Varanasi railway station to board your train to Delhi.
